Optimum wavelength for PLDD

Optimum wavelength for PLDD

VELAS-30B works with a 980nm laser diode, the optimal wavelength for disc decompression. Its greater absorption by the chromophore water (five times more than 810nm laser and double than 1064nm) makes that less laser energy is needed to perform treatments, spreading lower heat to surrounding tissue and reducing side effects.

ENT Diode Laser Surgery Applications

Endoscopic laser surgery is a technique for treating diseases of the nasal cavities and paranasal sinuses. Diseases of the oral cavity and the upper respiratory passage can be treated using lasers as well.

The field of individual applications is extensive:

Partial velum resection in the case of sleep apnea syndrome
(operation to correct snoring)
Tonsillectomy
Lingual tumors
Hyperplasia of the nasal concha
Coagulation of nasal polyps
Dacryocystorhinostomy operation (DCR)
Papillomatosis of the larynx
Tumors of the larynx (palliative)
Septum ridges and spurs
Concha bullosa
Maxillary sinus fenestration
Epistaxis (especially in the case of children and Osler's disease)

Diode laser coagulation - The golden standard for FFTS or TTTS

Diode laser coagulation - The golden standard for FFTS or TTTS

Feto-Fetal Transfusion Syndrome (FFTS) or Twin-to-Twin  Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS)

This syndrome is characterized by an imbalance of blood flow and net loss of blood from one fetus to the other, caused by connected blood vessels in the shared placenta. Interfetal transfusion is a common phenomenon in monochorionic multiple pregnancies, and usually balanced. However, in the case of a chronic imbalance of flow between the twins, TTTS develops. Arterio venous anastomoses are responsible for the imbalance of blood flow. The syndrome occurs exclusively in monochorionic, diamniotic twin pregnancies.

TTTS is a disease of the placenta and the babies are usually normal if treated in an early clinical stage.

Laser for General surgery(3 surgery mode)

Laser for General surgery(3 surgery mode)

General surgery includes the surgical treatment of abdominal organs including intestines, esophagus, stomach, colon, liver, and bile ducts. Many of these organs can be treated using a laser due to its versatility. For example, the laser is used for laser induced thermo therapy (LITT) of liver tumors, esophago-tracheal fistulae, colorectal carcinomas, angiodysplasia, erosion of the gastric membrane, colonic polyps, esophageal stenoses, or hemorrhoids. There are three methods for treating tissue in general surgery with laser:

Coagulation
Vaporization
Cutting

Plantar fascia Laser Therapy

The plantar fascia is a thick fibrous tissue on the bottom of the foot which protects sensitive structures such as nerves, vessels, muscles and tendons and is also responsible for maintaining the arch of the foot. When the plantar fascia becomes aggravated or inflamed, plantar fasciitis develops. In many cases, plantar fasciitis is called “heel spur syndrome.” Many people think that heel spurs are the cause of their foot pain, but the pain is actually caused by the inflammation or irritation of the plantar fascia. If untreated, plantar fasciitis can lead to a heel spur.

Laser therapy for plantar fasciitis pain, it has proven to be very effective, but with absolutely no side effects.

Percutaneous laser disc decompression

Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) is a minimally invasive procedure for treating therapy-resistant, radiologically and neurologically manifest slipped discs, predominantly in the lumbar and lumbosacral area.

Symptoms:

A slipped disk presses on a nerve, causing pain, numbness, or weakness in the area of the body to which the nerve goes. Depending on the position of the herniated disc, pain could arise in the front of the thigh, shoulders, arms, or chest. Sciatica may develop. Low back pain may accompany the leg pain.

Veterinary Diode Laser Surgery

Surgical lasers are minimal invasive and are used to accommodate a number of surgical appllications for both equine and small animals. Because laser surgery is minimally invasive, it reduces or eliminates the need for anesthesia, while reducing pain and the chance of infection. The result is shorter recovery time for the patient.

Diode 980nm 1210nm Lipolysis laser

VELAS 980nm diode laser acts by thermal effect, generating heat that damages the cell membrane of the adipocyte. Laser energy causes rupture of the adipocyte, liquefaction of the fatty tissue and coagulation of the collagen fiber. At the same time, the thermal effect coagulates small blood vessels, remodels collagen and promotes skin retraction (skin tightening).

Diagram of skin- hair removal is target the Papilla, Acne treatment is target the Sebaceous (oil) gland

Diagram of skin

The hair removal is target the Papilla, Acne treatment is target the Sebaceous (oil) gland

Epidermis
One of the two layers of skin, the epidermis is the outer or surface layer of skin. The main purpose of the epidermis is to protect you from the environment. It also contains pigment producing cells that when exposed to the ultraviolet radiation of the sun turn your skin darker.
Hair follicle
This is a tube-shaped sheath that surrounds that part of hair which is under the skin. The follicle at its base nourishes the hair.
Dermis
One of the two layers of skin, the dermis lies beneath the epidermis and consists of connective tissues (collagen and elastin), hair follicles, blood vessels and sweat glands. As well as containing these the dermis cushions the body against stress and strain.
Sebaceous (oil) gland
A small sack shaped gland that releases an oil called sebum. This oil ensures that the skin and hair are waterproof. The glands deposit sebum on the hair shaft, which as it grows is brought to the surface of the skin.
Erector muscle
This muscle connects each hair follicle to the epidermis. When it contracts it results in the hair being pulled upright forming what is commonly known as a 'goose bump' on the skin. This occurs in response to cold (heat regulation) or fear.
Papilla
At the bottom of the hair follicle is the papilla. Fed by blood capillaries this is where the actual hair cells are produced and hair is constructed.

Surgical Diode Laser for Hemorrhoids and Fistula

Surgical diode laser for hemorrhoids and fistula

We use the 600 or 800um fiber to ablation and coagulation the 2nd degree hemorrhoids directly.
For advanced hemorrhoids of 3rd or 4th degre, we use the Proctology handpiece, insert the fiber into the hemorrhoids to coagulate.
For fistula, we have radially emitting fiber

1470nm Active Acne Laser Systems

1470nm Active Acne Laser Systems

Developments in laser technology now offer a breakthrough in the treatment of active acne. Aesthetic laser systems use a high power laser, such as 1470nm diode, to penetrate the skin and target the bacteria that produces the inflammation associated with acne. This bacteria releases molecules called porphyrins which when exposed to a certain wavelength of light (the laser beam) increase in number until they destroy the bacteria.
