Photodynamic therapy
630nm laser for dermatological lesions and oncology
The photodynamic therapy is a minimally invasive medical treatment which consists in using a photosensitizing drug, which is activated by a laser light. The aim of these procedures is to activate the oxigen mollecule of the photosensitizer to selectively destroy the diseased cells.
This new therapy has been proven effective in treating precancerous cells and certain typs of cancer (for example basal-cell carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma), as well as some dermatological diseases difficult to treat such as hidradenitis suppurativa or anal fistulas. Laser wavelength and photosensitzer must be as suitable as possible to guaratee the maximum level of light absorption by the drug to achieve the desired photochemical reaction.

Endovenous laser ablation for varicose vein
Varicose veins are veins that become enlarged and visible due to weakened valves, which cause blood to pool rather than flow to the heart. They appear as swollen, dark blue or purple veins that may bulge from the skin and most often develop in the legs. Many people feel self-conscious about the appearance of these veins, and may also suffer from pain, discomfort and other complications that go beyond cosmetic concerns.
Endovenous laser ablation is one of the newest methods of treating varicose veins using laser and other light-based technologies. The technique involves delivering light energy to a targeted vein through a laser fiber which is inserted through the vein. The energy is absorbed by the vein wall, causing the blood to coagulate and the vessel to collapse. As the vein is treated, the laser fiber is pulled back until the entire length of the vein is destroyed.

Laser lipolysis and skin tightening at the same time
A common complaint from patients who undergo liposuction procedures is that there is extra, loose skin in the treated areas. Not only can this cause patients to feel self-conscious about their appearance, it may also lead to skin issues such as rashes and irritation. Laser liposuction techniques not only achieve effective lipolysis, they also contract existing collagen and elastin fibers and stimulate the formation of new collagen for firmer, tighter-looking skin.
Laser assistant liposuction
Exceptional body sculpting work requires the expertise of a skilled surgeon as well as the most advanced tools available. Alma’s liposuction treatment brings the cutting-edge in tumescent liposuction techniques; eliminating unwanted pockets of diet and exercise-resistant fat from all areas of the body to create a smoother, sculpted shape. GIGAA laser allow for targeted fat removal with minimal bleeding and bruising, less physician exertion and shorter patient recovery time while achieving superior clinical results.
Laser treatment for hyperhidrosis or sweating
More than 211 million people around the world suffer from excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis. Every day, people struggle with the embarrassing, often life-disrupting symptoms associated with overactive sweat glands.
There are several options for treating hyperhidrosis, though each has its own implications and drawbacks. Antiperspirants are rarely effective for treating the level of sweating associated with hyperhidrosis. Neurotoxins, such as botox, may be injected into the axillar region, and this can be moderately effective. However, treatments are painful and it is difficult to achieve complete coverage of the target area. Injections are also needed every few months to maintain results. While surgery, such as Sympathectomy, yields effective and permanent results, the procedure is invasive, poses risks, involves patient downtime and often causes compensatory sweating in other areas of the body.

Laser Fat grafting
Fat grafting, also known as fat transfer, has become increasingly popular in recent years. The procedure transfers fat from areas with excess fat, such as the abdomen or outer thighs, and injects it into areas lacking volume such as the face, breasts or buttocks. The immediate availability of the patient’s own fat, its natural integration into host tissues and its ability to achieve long-term correction makes it a highly sought-after procedure with excellent outcomes. Alma’s fat grafting procedure is quick and simple allowing you to restore or augment patient tissue volume without having to resort to toxic or artificial fillers.

Laser Verrucae Therapy
Laser Verrucae Therapy
Caused by a virus, verrucae are highly contagious and are usually contracted in public places such as swimming pools, gyms, etc. Some people are more susceptible to the virus than others and this can lead to multiple verrucae or constant re-infection, which can sometimes also involve pain.
Although many over-the-counter topical remedies are available, for serious or chronic verrucae infections, laser therapy provides a more permanent and effective solution. The telltale black mark of verrucae is actually blood vessels, which feed the verrucae and enable them to persist. Unlike topical remedies, the VELAS laser specifically targets these blood vessels with heat, while causing to damage to the surrounding tissue, to cut off the blood supply that “feeds” the verruca and allows it to survive, resulting in a fast, more permanent solution to the problem.
