The procedure with GBOX/VELAS laser consists of the retraction of the uvula using energy in interstitial mode. Laser energy heats the tissue without damaging the skin surface, promoting its contraction and a greater openness of the nasopharyngeal space to facilitate the passage of air and reduce snoring. Depending on the case, the problem may be solved in a single treatment session or may require several applications of laser, until the desired tissue contraction is achieved.
