ENT surgery and snoring

Among 70% -80% of the population snores. In addition to cause an annoying noise that alters and diminishes the quality of sleep, some snorers suffer interrupted breathing or sleep apnea that may result in concentration problems, anxiety and even increased cardiovascular risk.

In the past 20 years, the laser assisted uvuloplasty procedure (LAUP) has released many snorers of this annoying problem in a quick, minimally invasive way and without side effects. INTERmedic offers a laser treatment to stop snoring with GBOX/VELAS Surgical Laser

Outpatient procedure with immediate improvement

The procedure with GBOX/VELAS  laser consists of the retraction of the uvula using energy in interstitial mode. Laser energy heats the tissue without damaging the skin surface, promoting its contraction and a greater openness of the nasopharyngeal space to facilitate the passage of air and reduce snoring. Depending on the case, the problem may be solved in a single treatment session or may require several applications of laser, until the desired tissue contraction is achieved. It is an outpatient procedure.
