GBOX Dental Laser System with PPR technology

The Gbox with repetition rate up to 20Khz makes the pulse-pause-ratio (PPR technology) available. PPR technology is a treatment for soft tissue cutting and coagulation in high repetition rate which makes less or no carbonization, as a result the patients will feel less pain and get quick recovery.

GBOX Veterinary Laser System

The GBOX/VELAS Diode 980 System is a minimally invasive surgical laser used to ac-commodate a number of surgical applications in both small animal and equine medicine. Because it is minimally invasive, it reduces or eliminates the need for anesthesia, reduces pain, reduces chance of infection, all leading to a shorter recovery time for the patient. It seals vessels while cutting or ablating so blood loss is minimal, which is especially important during internal procedures.

PLDD disc decompression laser

Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) is a type of surgery in which a laser probe is inserted into the intervertebral disc space and laser energy applied for achieving decompression and neuromodulation thereby relieving the pain. PLDD is a minimally invasive procedure that falls into the category of percutaneous intervertebral surgeries with the aim to significantly reduce the patient's pain and recover neurological deficit. It is performed under local anesthesia. By a specially designed laser, with a coefficient of absorbing energy adjusted for soft discus tissue, specific amount of heat is sent to achieve the evaporation of the water from the disc without additional thermal damage thus achieving decompression and creation of a stable intradiscal scar that will prevent herniation from reoccurring.

Onychomychosis (nail fungus) Therapy laser

Onychomychosis is a fungal infection of the nail and its prevalence is about 6% in the adult population. The causative pathogens of onychomycosis include dermatophytes like Trichophyton (rubrum, interdigitale, Epidermophyton floccosum), but also molds and yeasts like Candida.
Complete treatment of onychomycosis is challenging because the infection is embedded within the nail and is difficult to reach; full removal of symptoms is slow and may take a year or more.
Most treatments are either systemic or topical antifungal medications.
These antifungal treatments achieve modest clinical results and, in addition, can cause common side effects like headache, skin and gastrointestinal disordes.
A novel non–invasive approach includes the irradiation of a laser beam, whose wavelength is absorbed by microbial pathogens on a specific area. The absorbed energy is converted into heat and the consequent temperature increase deactivates the pathogenic micro-organism without damaging the surrounding tissues.
The specific wavelength of 1064nm deactivates the parasitic organism; moreover, the pulse width of the laser beam, in the order of ms, is lower than the skin relaxation time (of the order of 10 ms) and this allows the thermal confinement of the absorbed energy and the consequent painless treatment.
The GBOX 1064nm laser is supplied with an optical fiber, handpiece and safety goggles in a suitcase for the easy transportation of the device.
ADVANTAGES:
FOR PATIENTS
Quick and safe
No pain
No contraindications
No side effects
No local anesthesia is required Does not harm the nail or skin
Shoes and nail polish can be worn immediately after treatment
Near-IR radiation therapy is safer than teratogenic UV therapy
No toxic smokes typical of pulsed lasers, is generated by photoablation
No photosensitizing agents are required
FOR PODIATRISTS
Laser is maintenance-free
No consumables

VELAS 1470nm Laser Lipolysis

Laser lipolysis is the least invasive method of treatment for fat reduction.

VELAS 1470 emits at a wavelength highly absorbed by fat compared with other wavelength. Laser light energy is absorbed causing the swelling and rupture of adipocytes. When the fat is melted, it can either be absorbed by the body or removed by the physician with liposuction. While melting the fatty tissue the VELAS 1470 also tightens the surrounding skin, preventing it from sagging after the
fatty deposits have been removed. The heating effect of the laser induces new collagen and elastin formation within the skin. Shrinking is more pronounced and skin is much smoother than after classical liposuction.
Laser lipolysis is less invasive than classical liposuction because only a 1-2mm incision is required to insert the cannula with the optical fiber and there is no need for general anesthesia.
The fatty tissue removal process requires less external force and exertion compared to the standard liposuction.
Thermally induced coagulation minimizes bleeding and trauma, as well as posttreatment bruising and swelling. Patients can expect shorter recovery times and a reduced need for compressive garments, while they can get back to their daily activities immediately after the procedure.
GIGAA LASER offers a unique handpiece with small outer diameter cannulas and an integrated aspiration channel.

ADVANTAGES:
FOR PATIENTS
Safe, fast, effective
Minimal discomfort during the procedure
Simultaneous skintightening
Avoid loose skin
No stitches required
No general anesthesia required
Faster recovery
FOR DOCTORS

Laser application for Ophtalmology: Laser DCR surgery

Ophtalmology: DCR

DCR is a surgery performed to create a new tear drain between the eye and nose when the current tear drain becomes blocked or obstructed.
The nasolacrimal duct obstruction is suffered by 2-4% of population over 40 years old and 30-40% of individuals over 90 years old.
The traditional treatment method is to surgically reopen the lacrimal duct externally.
However, this is a lengthy, difficult procedure associated with a high potential for side effects such as strong, post-operative bleeding and
scar formation.
GIGAA LASER can supply a procedure kit for DCR that makes the reopening of the lacrimal duct a safer, minimally invasive procedure.
The cannula is introduced once in order to perform the treatment pain-free and bloodlessly.
Then, the required drainage is set in place using the same cannula.
The procedure can be done under local anesthesia and leaves no scars.

ADVANTAGES:

FOR PATIENTS
Atraumatic procedure Limited complications and side effects Local anesthesia
No post-operative bleeding or oedema
No infections
No scars
No hospitalization, it is an outpatient surgery center procedure
Enables a return to usual activities the following day

FOR DOCTORS
Minimally invasive procedure
Time savings
Very short learning curve
