The advanced technology with 10, 000Hz Frequency in the world
Uvulopalatoplasty is a surgical procedure performed with the aim of reducing or eliminating snoring. It is an out-patient procedure, in which a laser is used to remove parts or all of the uvula at the rear of the mouthThe surgery usually requires three to five visits, with each lasting less than 30 minutes. It is performed with the patient awake under local anesthesia, and normal functions can be resumed after the operation. An LAUP (Laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty) procedure typically costs between two and three thousand American dollars. The principal side effect is a severe sore throat which can last from 7 – 10 days.Speaking is not usually affected.
Operating at a wavelength of 980nm/810nm in the near infra-red portion of the spectrum, VELASTM provide good haemostasis effect and bloodless operating due to high absorption in water and haemoglobin.
Compared to the Nd:YAG laser, the thermal penetration is less deep enabling safe and precise procedures close to delicate structures while protecting the surrounding tissue.Compared to the CO2-laser, this special wavelength provides a significantly better haemosta is allowing a bloodless operating field, even in highly vascular areas such as nasal polyps and haemangioma
